dont say stupid stuff here , im serious . i have a SI hatch and i want to make or get a flame kit .. how is the best way to do this?

 

mine was from a injector hanging up. there is a kit out there that puts an ignition box with propane injection in the tail pipe but i done know where you would find it.

 

i think auto loc makes the kit i seen it in sports compactcar mag

 

lol thats funny. If you get the kit post some pics! Get a kit. But Ive heard you can tap a wire from one of your plug wires and run a wire back to your rear section of exhaust piping. Drill a hole that will hold another spark plug and tap it in. When the sparkplug fires, the leftover fumes are supposed to ignite.

I was watching the show TRUCKS! today on TNN (I know). They were talking about flame thrower kits.

The way they said it worked on there (maybe not the only way) is to supply the exhaust unignited fuel in which is ignited by a spark plug that you put into the muffler tip and when you hit a button it shoots flames.

He also said it didnt work on cars that had cats so I don't know what to tell you about that. They did it on an old roadster.

They said that this aids the oil in washing off the cylinder walls so you have to change your oil more often but other than that, it's no big deal.

IMO, it would look stupid but to each his own, and get some pics.

My motor was was runnin so rich i was shootin a TON of black smoke out of my *** and while i was driving to the shop I heard a huge bang and I guess a flame as bright as a flare came out. So buy a turbo kit, get the AEM EMU, have it totally untuned and drive....something will come out.

i use to have a flame thrower kit on my 56 ford f-100....it was bad ***, then i got the exhaust re-done and havent had time to get it back on

 

Buy an Rx-7 and run with no cats.

Get a turbo kit. Run it without a cat and don't tune it. Thats what I did and I shoot out flame about 2 foot long when I punched it.

Autozone has a kit that does this i think...

 

theres a kit by autoloc

it pushes fuel to the exhuast system and then triggers an inserted spark plug to create the flames

they did it on Trucks on TNN today...(My dad watches)

 

My friend was telling me about that. He saw it in the Anarchist (sp?) Cookbook. But the flame is like a flame thrower flame, so itll mess up a car behind you. We were gonna try it on my old buick but the motor went out before we had a chance.

Someone said something about getting a RX7 and no cat. Actually i had a friend with a 90 RX7 turbo II and he was running way to rich that when he shifted from high RPMs a long *** flame would fly out. But he had both his cats on at the time too. So you could do it with a cat on too. I was thinking about doing it on my civic but i dont want more attention from cops then i already get. Post pics if you get the kit and have fun.

I agree Unless you have a V8 super car from austrailia they shoot fire .. and its not a spark plug in the exhaust .... those cars are tuff !
