Default Need help ASAP!! in middle of D16Y8 swap

I have a 1990 CRX DX. We've already gotten the MPFI conversion taken care of, but we've noticed something wierd. On the back of the d15 block, there's a 2-prong sensor that I believe is for the coolant, pic below:

however, on the d16y8 block, there's no such sensor. Rather, just a coolant drain plug. We thought this might just bolt right in, but the threads on the sensor are half the size of the drain hole on the d16y8. Is there someplace else i'm supposed to put this or is it necessary? Here's a picture of the d16y8 block in the back

Any help is appreciated!

i believe u gotta take the 2 prong sensor off the d15 and move it over to the d16y8 in the exact same spot so u can run that coolant sensor, but i ve heard of others extending wires to run it...i dunno i looked on my d16z6 and it was the same and my friend who already had it in his car told me to carefully remove it from my d16a6 and put it on the d16z6...just my .02

the coolent sensor that is on the back of the d16a6/d15b7 is now on the thermostat housing of the d16y8...you have to extend the wires and use the clip from the y8...
