Default Getting insurance $ for wheels....what should I get???

Hey, I have a San Marino Red 97 Prelude. I just got it about a month ago, so it's completely stock. Anyway, I am getting around $2000 from insurance for wheels and tires (I have to show the the reciept when I'm done). I will lower my car at the same time. I'm not a ricer, but for some reason I like big wheels. And the 5th gens do have big wheel wells. So, I'm thinking 18's, or maybe even some gunmetal or nice silver 5 spoke 19's. Any suggestions? I know I'm asking a performance board, but I don't want any 15" Black Enkei's or Rota Slips!!!! Thanks.

I would just get 17" rims. You are already talking about a 45 series tire. That's a pretty short sidewall.

How harsh do you want your ride?

My personal favorite rim is the 17" Mugen Mirrorface MF10, but they are really expensive!

I can get you them.. don't know a price yet.. I need to find out myself!

BTW> going with 18's isn't going to fill the wheel well gap any more than 17's or stock 16's. Overall tire diameter will be the same (or damn close). The only way to fill it is to drop it. NOTE> going with a bigger diameter rim also tends to increase the overall width, so watch how big you go, and how much of a drop, or you might rub

I have Ace Manta 18s with 225/45/18zr Kuhmo Ecsta Supras, and they will barely fit, If i drop it at all I pretty much have to go with coilovers, But I think Mantas look good on my car (silver 97 lude), Ive gotten many complements in traffic, from 2 girls in an s200 and some guy in a 911 turbo, among others. I kind of wish I would have gone with gunmetal or black pearl, with polished lift like stingers( those look sick!)
