Headlight Question (97 Accord)
Hello-
First time poster, I'm posing for my g/f. She drives a '97 Accord. Problem is, the headlights are absolutly terriable. Can't see a flipping thing in the dark.
The headlighs are adjusted correctly (height), but they seem to point off to the right a bit. Can anyone tell me where the l/r adjustment screw is? I couldn't locate it.
Are there any others that notice the bad headlights, or is it just her car? I drive a Neon, and when I can say that my headlights are better than hers, I know there is a problem!
Anyone have sucess in putting "better" bulbs in? I don't want any gimmick bulbs, not HID wannabes...just *good* headlight bulbs.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!!
Erik Johnson

if you really want bright lights, get the 9005 bulbs and modify them to fit into the 9006 socket. thats what i did, and a lot of people have actually asked what type of hid kit i went with.

First of all, you don't have a tinted windshield, right?
As for adjusting your headlight (since they point off to the right), I don't know the answer myself, but if you were to pick up a Haynes manual for your car (available at Autozone or ebay), it will tell you how do adjust your headlights correctly.
I adjusted the headlights on my commuter car, an '88 Corsica, it involved something like parking next to a wall and putting a plus sign on the wall with masking tape where the beams hit the wall. Then you back up 25' and adjust the beams until they hit a certain point on the plus signs (I don't remember exactly what that point was). As for how to actually adjust the beams, I don't know how to do it on your car. But the Haynes manual would tell you exactly how to do it.

Well... I know you don't want HID wannabe crap, and I'm totally with you on this, so why don't you get yourself some genuine HID? You can look in the classified, and you will find plenty of sellers.
I myself bought 2 sets from bgod, OEM Nissan HIDs, got them for 200$ each set, and I am delighted with the light output. MAKE SURE YOU GROUND THEM WELL, THOUGH. If not, you will toast ignitors. If you're interested, and need further help, IM me.
As for the 9005, I got Hella 100w, and they throw good light, trust me

I bought a pair of silverstars for my gf's accord....they work great on my teg..makes it look like HID and they are really bright at night. I cant even take off the ring housing the headlight bulb. Why the hell did Honda make them so hard to replace!
they are cheap and you will definitely see the difference. it's like night and day.
