Urgent how to remove the CD player
ok so my 87 CIVIC died (my brother killed it) so now it is at my dads domestic loving mechanics(who know nothing about car audio) and I need to know to get my CD player out. Now to remove the CD player/radio unit, I think (I say think because currently my Haynes svc manuel it at my girlfriends school 6 hours away, don't ask) I need to insert a srewdriver to pry some tab wich will free up the head unit so I can just slide it out, is this correct. I need to know tonight becuase I have to remove the radio tomorrow at nine. Oh and I did a serch and found nothing, thanks
I'm not sure if the 3g are the same as the 4g but in mine you have 4 bolts to undo, one's inside the glovebox, 2 on the lower sides and 1 to the right of the steering wheel. After you get those out the whole dash panel comes out and youll see 2 bolts holding the stereo in, remove and the stereo slides out. I've never seen the inside of the 3g but my haynes says 84-91 so I hope this helped.
