I personally wouldnt do it...but if you want a new colored car...sell yours and get another one...mismatched engine bays/door jambs is really ugly!

Mismatched engine bay does look pretty funky, but if your budget doesn't allow for the whole thing, I guess you just have to decide if you can live with it or not. (Just never open your hood..ever

I would say its alright if the engine bay was black...that looks ok
but how many people are going to see the inside of the engine bay anyways?? If you cant afford it...dont do it...

So you are looking for an opinion on a color? I guess Champ white would look the best because it wouldn't clash "as much" with the engine bay as the other colors would.
Lots-a-views .. One vote ? come on help me out here
does anybody have champ white next to civic white (<--what ever that color is called) So I can see the contrast ?thanks

If you can't change he color of the engine bay then save your money before you change the color. It will get old.
I think it might look odd with two diff shades of white, but then agian if you let the engine bay get dirty you wouldn't be able to tell the diff...
You can always pull your motor out and just rattle can the **** black when you get some dough
I sprayed my car CW and just left the engine bay black... dont look bad at all

well you don't have to take the motor out....
say if you want the car black, and you said you can get the jams, and hatch jam done right? have it done... And as for the engine bay... me and friend did this on his hatch...we painted the engine bay black...take the front bumper off, headlights, fenders and the hood if you want to, it makes it alittle easier to get to stuff..
spray the the entire engine bay, and engine, everything real good with degreaser to get all the scum off, i always keep my engine bay clean, just b/c i like doing it..It also seems to Stay cleaner, if you regurily clean it..i use Mean Green, it eats grease off, easy..Then once its dry, you start taking misc. parts off, that you can take off without disconnecting them, i.e. power steering pump, a/c condenser, stuff like that, stuff you can unbolt and manuever around without disconnecting them. Then you sand and sand every part of the engine bay, well atleast dam near every part you can get to..Then you tape off stuff, i.e. master cylinder, a/c lines, coolant lines, this is self-explanatory..Then you paint away..We used High Gloss Black, with a Wide Angle spray tips, we did about 2 full coats..And it turned out great, its still glossy, and its stuff too, nothing is chipping off, due to the prep work, good degreasing and sanding. Oh and we also did the core support too, noone can tell we did it that way..The car was a cx hatch, originally red, we did the engine bay first, then the next day, we sprayed the rest of the car..We did the door jams, and hatch jams first, we used Quick Dry clear, it drys in like 15 mins., then once the jams were good and dry we sprayed the rest of the car..We sprayed it with sikkens, high gloss black, black is cheap too..Everyone that looks at the car can't tell that, thats how we did it, they all think we took the motor out and everything, to do the engine bay...hahahahah
