Default Drilling Carbon Fiber Hood

I was going to drill two holes in my hood for hood pins. It lifts a little too much when driving. ? is, Is it safe to drill holes in the hooo for hood pins? Would you recommend drilling small holes then going to the size I need?

The best thing to do is drill from the top to the bottom. Make sure to mask the area you are drilling with atleast 2 layers of masking tape. That will help protect the area surrounding the hole you are drilling. Just in case you slip, you know. Make sure you mark the holes ofcourse. Start using a small drill bit, then go up little by little till you get the desired size. If you go too big you might end up hurting the carbon fiber or gel coat and cause it to crack. Hope that helps.
