I'm going to be pulling the head off of my JDM H22A1 this weekend. Is there a specific sequence when removing the headbolts so as to not warp the head? I don't have my Helms for the Prelude yet.
Also, I'm getting the head ported and polished. I'm replacing the valve seals and the headgasket. Is there anything else I should replace while I'm in there?
And are there any tips for P&P the head? Such as a known thin area not to touch or a good place to open up for better flow?
BTW, I searched. (The archives are still disabled)
Thanks

When taking the head off, there is a specific sequence to take the head bolts out. You should buy a helms manual and it will show you how to do it.
edit: Just read you don't have the helms yet, maybe someone can post a pic or diagram of it. Or you can just wait until you get it.

when taking the head off you will need to remove the cams so i would suggest replacing both cam seals (drivers side) and the o-ring on the distributor as well as the cap on the passenger side intake cam
also there is an o-ring you should replace for the oil control orifice
oh while your in there replace the IM gasket with a hondata
