if they're both si's, there shouln't be any difference in the wiring.
If I were you I'd keep the 90 si tranny and use the 90 flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate unless there's something wrong with it too.

sorry for stealin the thread but do you how hard it would be to drop a 89 D16A6 motor in a 91 DX...D15B??...its a 4spd...can you use the stock axles on the D15?

The should be no wiring conflict at all. Just used you old intake manifold and bolt it up to the new motor. Everything will be the same.

As far as the Si motor with a 4spd it should drop right i if you don't swap the inyake manifolds. Then you'll need to do an MPFI conversion. Good luck both to of you

for the first guy
just take ur 88 Si engine and put ur 90 flywheel , clutch and tranny on it. ready to go....

for the other guy.. u need to convert from DPFI to MPFI (search here its broken i guess.. so go to my sig) after that u can use the Si tranny with it.... and u can still use ur stock mount, axles, shift linkage and all.... jut basically changin engine/tranny and the wiring changes (wich need a new ECU of course)
