which do you guys do or prefer?

 

i like both actually. my civic is mainly for roadracing and i have a malibu that is setup for all-out drag. imma have to vote twice.

 

too bad you cant vote twice. i should of put both as a voting option

 

both are fun but I think autoX/roadracing takes a little more skill (no offense to the drag ****'s out there)
it just seems everyone can go in a straight line and shift fast but to go around a corner at a blazing speed can be pretty intense

 

RR and autox are in a different league. there are so many aspects that you can look at, so its really hard to decipher which is ultimately harder.
1. Large amounts of Hp in drag thrown down in a split second
2. .500 RT
3. solid throws will minimal RPM drop
4. keeping the car in line(obvious) but not always the easiest thing
VS.
1.Oversteer and Understeer
2.heeltoeing
3.tight cornering
4. GAS brake GAS brake

its tough to really say one requires more skill. I think overall they both require way to much skill for your average person and thats why we dont see 500 cars on REALTIME Acura team and 100 Adam Saruwataris or Papadackis's. Im sure there are people out there that are more capable in one or the other, but I guess its just what you like more. Personally, Id rather road race than Drag. thats why when I can finally get my hybrid hatch out there the first thing i want to do is go to Beaver Run not a drag strip.

 

slower and less powerful cars can still beat out faster and higher power cars in auto-x

 

im getting into road racing. drag racing ends before it even starts !
plus i like going thru turns fast more than i like going straight fast.

 

drag racing is fun but i prefer autoxing. i love the corners and i love the speed

 

After taking about 2 or 3 runs in my friends 11 second eclipse, I'm a drag fan for life. Now that is a ****** rush..

Going straight is about as fun as watching Nascar.

 

I dragg race once and a wile for kicks just to hang out with friends but like my bumper licence plate frame says " **** DRAGG REAL MEN AUTO X AND ROAD RACE"

I dont AutoX or RR I'm scared if I try it, i might like it too much.

 

Autocrossing, imo, is the ultimate level of car control.
Even road racers will say that.

I think drag racing a 19 second car would be boring as hell. I think 'road racing' a 19 second car would be fun.
I think drag racing an 11 second car would be fun as hell. I think road racing a 11 second capable car would be scary as hell.

I think drag racing a 9 second car would be too scary for hell. I think road racing a 9 second capable car wouldnt be that fun. Id be too scared. Imagine driving an F1 car on big track willow doing 180mph around turn 8. Ill pass haha
