Well you could either sell your lude and get only so much then respend another 29k+ on another car plus all the parts your goin to do to it to make it custom.

Personally the EVO is freakin ugly looks like a neon on crack. Im sure im going to catch hell for that , but one I don't care 2. it is IMO! But I totally respect the EVO sick Car. just not that good lookin to me. rather have a 350z even though its less power. THe STi WRX is pretty good lookin . so basically you can spend 4 grand and totally beat them , or spend a lot of money starting over.
Plus sucks to not have a honda
But it would be nice to drop the hammer from 7k ty AWD!!!

its all on what you want to do not us.

The latest SCC mag has the Evo doin the 1/4 in 13.9 I say you'd at least need a decent turbo setup ($2-3k for a basic kit) or a big shot of n2o (a dry kit/75 shot if u run a stock motor with no internals spending about $1000 for the kit and accessories) and a nice diet plan for ur lude; to break into the 13's, but that's just to keep up with a stock Evo... Once they start upgrading, be ready to open your wallet even more to do some internal work on ur motor. It's possible but in general, speed is proportional to how thick ur wallet is.

JRSC (custome done to fit the 4thgen)...Intake, exhaust, headers, tires, new clutch and flywheel....and maybe some internal work like new pistons and etc if your runn'n more than the stock 6 psi...def after 9 psi get some internal work..Hondata ECU..Suspension and sways and maybe some motor mounts.

What logic is it that makes you want to compare your 9 year old FWD sports coupe to 2 new AWD Turbo sporty econo-box based sedans?

It sounds like you are either bored with your Prelude or just looking for an excuse to buy a new car. So I say go for it. Get something new...

I agree.

Trade-in time, don't waste your time or money trying to compete.

But if he has the money to do it I'd do it....I'd be pissed off if my new 2003 AWD TURBO got beat by a 9 year old Honda...If you got money to throw around and get the stuff done do it..If not get a fresh new car or something faster than the prelude and hook it up to race those cars. Maybe a S2k wit FI?

Uh, an FI (Comptech SC or Ultimate turbo) S2K is going to run you (new or used) over $40K total for the car and boost (it would be easier/cheaper to run the Venom VCN-2K on it, but that's another story), not including the braking/suspension/traction upgades you'll want/it'll need. If someone got that kind of cash laying around, throw some my way. I'll give them my PayPal e-mail addy.

LOL, I love it when people start these kinds of threads.......buy this, buy that, get a neon and swap an ls1, buy an s2k with twin turbo, blah blah blah

If you want something faster than what you have, either make what you have fast or buy something else. It's up to you. Asking that question in a thread wastes space and just gives everyone a reason to bullshit around.

ok his car is a 94... i don't know if you have it paid off or not, but if you do or are close, that's awsome. Think about this, the KBB on your car (with 75,000 miles in excellent condition) is around $7,495.. granted that doesn't count in extras you have. The EVO goes for around $28,000. That's a diff of like $21,000. I say take that $21,000 loan and go get freakin parts for your car like boosted97lude and kick their ***... or just buy his and finish it up
