Turbo the D16 or swap for b18c? Which has more potential?

Hey. Can anyone tell me which one has more potential than the other. I'm confused on this. Should I swap my D16 for a B18c or just force induct my D16? Some info on this would be great.
The b18c definitely has more potential.. although a turbo'ed d series might be faster at first, given the time and money, the GSR will be a lot faster.
okay, this will start a very heated debate in here...do yourself a favor, and use search first on b series swaps. then read the d series info in my sig. then go to dseries.org and read some more... It really depends on your budget and goals...

I am debating this question now.
I choose D16.
Yes this will open a new can of worms.
And after all my research I chose to go the D16 route and dump my B18C1.
So its all in what you plan on doing. B series are fast out of the box D need builds. Its all in what your long term goals are.

What is debatable here? This statement pretty much sums things up. If you put equal mods on both engines, then of course the GSR will come out on top. My personal choice is to mod the D series, the initial cost of the engine allows you to spend more money on turbo, etc. so you can do things with it now and not later when you recover from the 2k+ you spent on the GSR. I wanted to learn the ins and outs of boosting and building engines, so the d16 was a nice choice because I could do all that and spend about what I would have on a swap.
EDIT- Let me make clear here, I am speaking strictly potential, not bang for the buck or what will get you faster cheaper. Just mod for mod, which engine comes out ahead, the GSR.

I say he is right, but i think down the road u will want alot more out of it and the gsr can give u that.

I think it's more fun to build a motor than to just swap one in.
The GSR in the long run would come out on top, but with more money. It depends on too many factors for anyone to make the decision for you (time, budget, mechanical ability, knowledge, personal preferences, etc...).

Bingo! That's exactly how I feel about it. I am anxious to crack it open and learn how to put things together, if I bought a GSR for close to if not over 3000, I would a.) probably not have enough money for rebuild parts and tools b.) not be as willing to risk ruining an engine that cost me 3 grand in the first place.

That is always a possibility, but everyone has their own level of how much speed they think is enough. Even with a GSR build up, you may still find you crave more power and speed. Then its time for something bigger.
