Default how did you mount the tweets in the doors of your teg?

I have a 94 gsr, it has stock tweets in the doors, well i bought a component set (polk ex2560), and the tweets are .75", but the stock tweeter mounting kit is much larger. I'm just wondering how everyone mounted theirs.

If nothing else, I'll have to jerry rig some type of little bracket to mount it behind the stock tweeter cover, but the prob is that there isn't enough room to really aim it or anything. The stock cover is too big for it to fit securely, but too tight to really do anything with it

I used this rubber sticky string type stuff... just covered the entire back of the tweeter with it and pressed it onto the stock bracket

stereo sounds killer

didn't cost me much either... used spare parts from the last few systems

sony xm-2501 amp (already had it) powering polk ex2560 components up front ($130), and an mtx thunder 280 amp powering a kicker comp 12" in a sealed box ($75 for amp, box, and sub), add in like $30 in wiring accessories and some spare 4 awg wire and ta-da! sounds pretty good and it wasn't much of a weight increase. i ripped the rear speakers and brackets and all completely out... weight savings... gotta make up for the weight of that box somehow. now i just need to mount the box somehow so when i take those turners on 3 wheels... hmm
