knock sensor???

Default knock sensor???

i know this sounds stupid but i am swapping a jdmb16 into 91 crx si and goin to wire the knock sensor but it is no where to be found all i can actually plug in is the 2 wire white connector but no spot for the 1 wire knock sensor. both connectors are on the jdm harness though. maybe i'm just a lamer or something. thanks for any help you have

you have to actually route a new wire from the ecu to the knock sensor on the engine. hth

i know i have to run a new wire i took the old connector off the jdm harness i just can't find the plug on the block. i know it's on the back of the block under the head but i can't find it anywhere

its the sensor that is set the highest on the back , close to the intake manifold runners

i'm telling you man i looked and i can't see it anywhere. would there be like an alternative spot for it or maybe it's plugged and the motor doesn't have one?

Or it's not there. Depending on where you got your motor they might have taken it. We have had that happen on a couple of swaps where people bring us the engine.

If you are using a PR3 or PWO ECU you will have a check engine light, code 23.
You can get one from a DOHC Del sol or a DOHC Civic Si or a DOHC VTEC prelude.
I am not positive on this but, it you run with that code VTEC might not work, not 100% sure on this though.

I am fixing to move my knock sensor because I am throwing a code right now. Ne way I am not trying to steal the post but I have a question. Can throwing this code hurt performance because sometimes when I haul *** it feels like it pulls better than others. I know that the knock sensor code causes the car to pull timing and makes the car run like *** but can it also hurt performance even when it seems to be running fine?

yeah like everyone else says you will have to run a wire to your ECU, It's B19 pin if you woundering, good luck
