Default Will a PM7 ecu work for a B16 swap.....

I recieved my B16 swap which was missing the ecu when I got it. So I emailed the guy and he told me he would send one out.

I got it in the mail today and when I opened the box, it was a PM7 ecu which is listed as a 88-91 DOHC ZC ecu, so I am assuming that this is a non-vtec ecu. Am I wrong or should I call this guy and let him know what is up?

the ecu will work.. but not very well. You need a PR3, or a PW0. That ecu will throw codes.

OK. Thanks for the info. I figured I needed the other ecu but just wasn't 100% sure.

yeh, your car will no doubt run with the pm7. i ran my b16 on a pm6 si ecu for a day or two, while my pr3 was bein chipped. if this is only temporary, just dont beat on it, and it should be ok....vtec won't work anyways obviously
