I'd check to see if the DC Sports JDM 4-1 has a CARB number. They seem to have most of their stuff carb legal, so its a good bet that one will be.

the JDM header is the ONLY header DC makes that isn't CA smog legal

anybody else have an idea?

bah

i mean something you can take to a state ref. they know the difference between usdm and jdm manifolds with heat sheilds or not.

i mean something you can take to a state ref. they know the difference between usdm and jdm manifolds with heat sheilds or not.
Why not keep your stock one for the Ref. When you get a ticket, switch it out.

It's what I do.

Dude that's what you have to do in Cali. Sorry.

I just got done putting my car back to stock for my smog appt next week.

Then later that day after the smog check, I'll put the turbo on.

w/ heat shields on a JDM 4-1, i seriously doubt that a ref could tell. as long as a cat is bolted up, you really shouldnt have a problem. but thats for the visual. as for the sniffer, i have no idea if the 4-1 would pass. just keep ur stock header for smog. its not ahrd to swap headers out. ****...my friends swaps his motor in and out for getting tickets casue he has to get it smogged.

I don't think they can tell the JDM header unless they are into cars themselves.
