SPOON SUCKS SORRY SOFTBALLS ON SATURDAY
My spoon tranny is WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAK
I took it out today and NOThing I mean nothing, no help to the wheels I got a F*UCKIN 98 TYPE R TRANNY WITH LSD WITH A LS 5th Gear what the FIZZNUCK Ok here's what happen I bought the tranny from a reputable SPOON distributor because the previous buyer flaked out on them.
they told me it was a custom Spoon tranny to customers spec, So I asked them all the usual questions and later decided to buy that tranny and order another one to my spec just in case this tranny didnt work out,I am Still deciding on TURBO or supercharger or ALL MOTOR
So it went in no problem but the only thing is that everytime I hit 9000 RPM when I shift it drops out of vtec for a split millisec and Im wondering why.
It almost seams like a GSR tranny I am soo confused what the **** and believe me its not my driving thats for sure, for some reason it feels diferent every time I drive the thing.
One min its fast as **** next its just regular, Ohh and the thing about the flywheel that JUN ultra light is great no problems so far but its not the rev happy speed demon you guys claim the ultra light to be it feels just a little bit better but not 350 bucks better.
Maybe I should put in the AEM COLD AIR and a real 4-1 header not some 4-2-1 and my power should become unreal any insite to my troubles would be great.

12.6 my a$$ i live in the bay i know people that know you they say you have type r stickers on your 4 door LS i know you sell stuff for cheap but don't lie about times if you really did run a 12.6 prove it and you should be known in the bay if you really did run that time and 203@ the wheels what cams what headwork this tranny of yours your not suppose to put a ls 5th gear that's like a 6th gear and your setup is basically a stock jdm itr with more fuel and a flywheel traction bars and etc etc etc prove it!!!!!!

Dropping out of VTEC? That sounds fishy to me. To give you an example, I have a 98 SpecR tranny with an 8lb flywheel and my rpms drop from 8000 to 6000 when I shift.
mine drops from 8000 to 5500 rpm and vtec is at 5600-5700 and as for a 4 door LS?? I dont think thats meeh sorry CRX whatever

By the way people the suspesion I was refering to actually was changing the A-arms and misc parts supplied by comp enginering(chromoly), I am sorry for confusing you guys by saying suspension(you probably though shocks springs) actually its everything but...also remember I am using lighter flywheel and lighter stronger axels(chomoly) all together was about 50 pounds sorry for all the confusion.
12.6 with just bolt ons?? HAHAHA....this guy cracks me up more and more with every post he makes.....2k1 jdm itr motor huh? Riiiiight....lemme guess, pretty soon j00 are gonna be swappin in a prelude motor also since they make big hp and are quick at the dragstrip (IR)
And why in the hell are j00 shifting at 9k. I dont see a vafc on j00r car, and nuthing else to help raise j00r rev limiter and help j00r car survive........sorry man, but j00r posts are about as cool as ir

ouch..more digs at IR. I agree his last post was a little boastful (the H22 swap into a 2000 Civic Hatch with pics) but he must have been a real jerk before I got here, even he says as much. That H22 swap thread got ugly pretty fast too.
eurodeseo- are you having trouble reading my post if you are i'm truly truly truly sorry LoL but whatever. i'm sorry please don't give me a F on my post
Doesn't that one dude supercharged at 10 psi [must have spent a pretty penny on fuel upgrades] run 12.6? He's from Australia...I think.
I probably don't know what I'm talking about, I just saw him on the board a couple times.

I'm with XtraFastCRX......What's up with all the English teachers on this board??? This board is for motorsports not who can right the best essay. Anyways, all he trying to say is there's no way that car is running 12.6's with that setup posted. And if any of you believe that he is running 12.6's with that setup maybe you guys need to go back to school and learn some common sense........I'm from the bay too, and I have never heard of this car before. I'm sure if he has a 12sec ITR, he would be known in the Bay.
XtraFastCRX's alter ego - So you're saying unless it's an essay it's ok to make your posts difficult to read and full of mispellings since people involved in Motorsports obviously didn't get above a D in English class?
you guys crack me up of course I have headwork done full portflow head milled full port and polished welded chambers the whole nine.
I'm not down for the late night runs I almost never go but I am game for a little DAYTIME run just hit me up, friendly races are cool with me.....
I heard that out in the san jose area you guys also have a 12 sec all motor yellow Type R what about him? why is it so hard to believe that it can be done? So many people just dont realize its very easy with the Type R to hit 12's or better with out swiss cheezin.
Instantmessage for more info Im down for anything
PS I try not to add the electrical parts on my list So people dont ask me stupid questions like how you like this product blah blah blah too many I'ms

Sometimes, I notice that the lack of punctuation is an indication of the information in the post - lacking as well.
If anyone doesn't think decent punctuation is necessary, c'mon. The only way we can communicate here is to do it as clearly as possible. It's usually bad enough when details are left out or info is misunderstood. Dropping the punc just makes it worse. It's like going to the track and missing the apexes! Not good! I can deal w/misspelled words and even read through the bad grammar (I love stuff like "break cilinder" and "there suspention") - but why not at least try?!
We sure complain like **** if some part's instructions are a hacked up piece of work that no one can understand.
FWIW
Carry on

Are you sure that is a Spoon tranny???? Where did you get it from???
Spoon supplies their tranny as std 98 JDM part. This tranny consist of 4.785 final drive and 98 spec 4th & 5th gear only and for the LSD then obviously a std ITR LSD.

Tiger Uppercut,
Not to bash you or anything, but 203whp ain't gonna make you hit 12.6 at the track, especially with the USDM ITR tranny. I don't care whether you have a full-ported head or what not, but the fact is 203whp won't get you into 12's on an R, even if it's fully stripped (unless you're on tubed chassis with full fibre-glass body).
The problem is, you don't even know which "Yellow Type-R" in San Jose is hitting 12's, and you don't even know what parts this "Yellow Type R" has.
And who says hitting 12's is easy on a Type-R? I think those who are actually hitting 12's on a Type-R makes much more power than 203hp @ the wheels.
Get real.
