Default Possible scammer: showlude

I was buying a set of Sparco Carbon pedals from him for $30. He only lives about an hour north of me in Palm Beach, so I said that we should just meet up halfway. He said that he would just ship them out to me since it would be like $5.00 for gas money compared to $2.00 for shipping. I said fine and sent him the money order. He received the order approximitely 3 weeks ago. He then he that he sent my pedals 15 minutes after he received my order. He gave me no tracking number. 2 weeks later, (last Friday) after I inquired about why they werent here yet, he said that he had sent them out the "cheapo" way through USPS and that I should get them in 2-3 days. Now it is 6 days later and still no pedals. How hard is it to ship some damn pedals?? If I do not get them by tomorrow, then I will persue some sort of legal action against him and drive up there to get my damn pedals. If someone can vouch for him and/or explain to me why I havent got the pedals yet (i.e. hes really really really busy) that would be a great help. Thanks fellow members.

Well, I spoke with him today and he said that he is shipping them tomorrow and emailing me the tracking number at 4pm. I told him that I will call him tomorrow at 415 if i dont not have the number in my mail box. He has seemed busy lately so Im not going to go giving him a bad name yet.

I hope it all works out for you b/c that is a great deal on some really nice pedals. But you know what they say when deal is to good to be true it prob is. If he is a scammer track his *** down and beat him to a pulp.

I wouldnt do anything yet.

UPS takes the longest to ship things, sometimes up to 4-6 weeks with thier longest delivery.

He ripped you... think about it, your 1 hour away and he wouldn't let you pick it up?

And shipping is usually NEXT day even with the slowest shipping because your so close.

Cost of getting screwed by a net scammer....30 dollars. Price of hunting him down and beating his ***....priceless.

I hope everything works out. However, I do believe that ll of this probably could've been avoided if you had agreed to meet him up in West Palm. I plan on driving up if he has parts I'm looking for from GSR he's parting out.

Piece of mind of getting part in your hands in worth so much more than what you're going through now. $3 you're saving doesn't even cover it. They do say hindsight is 20/20.
