I am planning to adjust the valves for my friend's car but I don't know the valve clearances/lash, firing order, etc. Does anyone have those specs for the intake and exhaust? It is for a 4cyl model. Not sure of the model but it is the ULEV engine, if that's any help.
I did a search for it but came up with nothing.
Also, do I do the adjustment the same way I do it for my GSR? I've done the GSR only and if the procedures and specs are different I would like to know before I do her engine. Anyone with a step by step procedures website?
Thanks for all your help!

The car is a 2000, it's virtually brand new. Why does it need a valve adjustment already? If you are realing looking to get a little better performance and fuel economy then just do a minor tune-up. You should not need a valve adjustment.
Gee3, I got your PM, but it keeps locking up my IE, so I can not reply. I do not know the specs offf hand, but I can find out for you.

James - it's actually for a '99 Accord, if that makes a diff. I found the valve clearance specs on one of the hood stickers. It also turns out she only has about 15k miles on it so I don't think she needs to do that stuff. Do you agree? TIA!
Thanks!

Gary,
I've never done a valve adjustment on an accord, but I assume it's like other honda motors, and since you have the valve adjustment spec, you should be able to do it. Here's a link to an article I wrote on doing a valve adjustment on a ZC/D16A1, the same basics apply to the accord. http://www.g1teg.org/howto/valves.html
