Do your urethane control arm or trailing arm bushings squeak?
I'm looking to replace my stock ones as they are 6+ years old and I'm pretty sure completely gone, but I don't want to replace them with urethane if my car will squeak like crazy. It's a daily driver.
Also, is it possible for me to install these bushings on my own or do I have to pay someone. I think I read somewhere I need a hydraulic press?
If I need to pay somone, can anyone recommend a place in Nor or So Cal?
Sorry about all the questions, but thanks!

don't get the urethane ones, they suck. they will squeak once the lubricant runs out of them. go with mugen bushings, good stuff
I did my rear upper control arms with the Ingalls polyurethane camber kit. They didn't squeek for the first few days. Then they squeaked over every slight nearly bump in the road. Then they quieted down a little. Sometimes they squeek and sometimes they squeek less.
I think the only benefit of the Mugen ones are that they are non-squeeky, although I would definitely use their trailing arm bushings... those are sweeeeeet. So the whole point is... yeah you might as well go with the Mugens (if they weren't so damn $$$$). They're supposed to be easier to install too. I've never seen them but someone was saying that they come already in the metal sleeves and you don't have to reuse the old ones like you do with the poly ones. Somethign like that.

Hmm... mugen ones don't squeak? Can anyone confirm that? It would suck to spend all that money and find out that they do too. What are they made out of to not squeak.
Thanks for the replies so far guys, it's really hard getting info on these bushings.

Just FYI, urethane is NOT what you want to be using at your suspension pivot points.

Whoa thread from back in the day...
I got the mugen ones. Dunno if it really made a difference, but they are squeak free and cost the same as OEM's I believe.
