i traded my ep3 for a evo 8 on sunday. im still smiling right now....still smiling... damn now im laughing....lol. its an awesome car - same concept as S2000. no frills, just performance - great handling, steering, ergonomics, seats, performance - and thats about it. interior is plain like s2000 minus bling bling instrument cluster. the car is damn spacious too! nothing beats the S2000 damn near sequential transmission and drop top. so ive got the Evo8 and my dad has the S2000 = best of both worlds!

Congrats! Mine's the same as yours. Sold my turbo teg to get the Evo but in the same time, I was also looking for an s2k but my vote went into the Evo.

 

do you know any forums for our A-spec Evos? or any Evo forums in general? im tryin to figure out the best mods. got any mods on urs?

im gonna do 3inch exh. from the turbo back but i have questions as to if im gonna need a hi flow cat to avoid a check engine light and poor performance

also im wonderin if should get a fuel cut defencer in order to run slightly higher boost

external wastegate, intake, elect. boost controller - are gonna be my next mods - finally im gonna do like a 20g or 25g with E-manage + injectors (loookin for 11 sec. street car and enough power to spin all 4 tires simoultaneoulsy )

 

I think were gonna be seein alot of evos out in the near future....

Yah... go to http://www.evolutionm.net and you'll see me there as well. It's a Lancer and Evo forum and there are a lot of Evo owners on there already.

No mods as of yet but I'm not going all out on this car like i did to my previous turbo teg. The Evo will be seeing the road course most of the time rather than the 1/4 mile and basically, it will have the obvious mods like a dp, straight pipe, catback exhaust, boost controller and hopefully a re-flash ecu from Vishnu. That should point the car to low 12's already.

i don't mind the wing on the evo's that much, but altezza's are not good for that car.

out here in English town (NJ) last weekend a black evo8 ran 12.5 , with temp plates, and still had plastic covering the seats! I'm not sure what was done to the car, but from what we could all see the car looked completely stock, stock exhaust, rims, interior, exterior, etc. car was moving i believe 120 mph very nice car

mph is 107 traps, not 120mph. Big difference...

 

yeah I never realized how tacky the rear altezza looked on the Evo8
