diameter of 4th gen accord exhaust piping.

this weekend i will be putting on a muffler. what is the diameter of the stock piping????

Last time I checked stock was around 1 15/16 or 2 inches...

why not run 2 1/2 from the cat back. but other wise i believe its 2 stock

stock on an ex is 2''
stock on a lx/dx is 1 3/4

if i were u I would go 2 1/2 or 2 1/4 for max flo and hp!

According to the formula for exhaust size for optimum performance you should use 2.25" unless your making over 200hp, then you go to 2.5"

or for dual: two 2" pipes, either way.

I went 2.25" in my 4th Gen EX coupe, car runs a lil more stronger but yet still have to get the exhaust

Yep. However realize that if your header collector is less than 2.5 or your car is less than 2.5 then its pretty pointless. You exhaust can only flow as fast as it narrowest point.
