Default Search is busted..... 88 different suspension than 89?

ok guys,
I was running through tociko's catalog amd they state that the suspension as follows:


Civic/CRX
(Incl. SI)(exc. S/W) 1984-87 HB2071 HU2741 BB2071 BU2741 -
HB2072 - BB2072 -
Civic/CRX
(Incl. SI)(exc. S/W) 1988 HU2797 HU2799 BU2797 BU2799 -
HU2798 - BU2798 -
Civic/CRX
(Incl. SI)(exc. S/W) 1989-91 HU2797A HU2847 BU2797A BU2847 Yes


You guys have an idea what is so special about the 88?

88's have a different rear suspension. LCA's to be specific. They have different shocks, and the passive rear steering, similar to the Integra Type R.

88's have a different rear suspension. LCA's to be specific. They have different shocks, and the passive rear steering, similar to the Integra Type R.
They have different rear lower control arms, period.

Passive rear steering = fancy way to say the car easily rotates. But it does this because the different LCAs make the car have a little less rear camber.

so are there any limitations from a handling stand point? MY real concern is that I cant get drop it a couple of inches.

No "limitations" - the 88 / Type R LCA's are prefered by some for increased handling.
You will have no problem dropping it a couple inches.
