Augh! I just found out that the Edmonton chapter of the Corvette club is hosting a team autocross event. 4 drivers/cars each get 3 turns around the track (set up on the beautiful runways of the former airforce base) each driver's best time gets added up to be the team's time... Sounds like a blast and fielding a team of R's would be a great way to show brand pride!!!

Details: Entry fee was still being discussed ($80 per team is crossed out on the fax I have, so we can assume it won't be much) They'll accept any Snell rated helmet. DOT tyres only. There will be a basic Tech inspection.

 

Sounds spectacular!!! Now we have to grab the attention of the rest of the peeps..

 

BTW when and how long? I was hoping LATE sunday morning!

Crap!!!! I wish I had seen this post earlier Gary.
I just formed a team on Sunday consisting of another Type R, a VW rabbit, & a BMW. We are definitely going to have to get a Type R team together next year.

If you want to race, please be sure to get your team entry in by Wednesday June 20/01.

Looks good for me to be there.....I gotta look for a helmet though....shieeet....and I got a LARGE Noggin! Size 7 3/4 at least!!
