just wondering, cuz i have a dx and std model, could i put a Si ECU..and would it make a difference? let me know..thanks..

std is dpfi and si is mpfi, you would need to swap to a mpfi system to use the ecu.

 

you can swap it in and the car will run, but dont plan on revving past 3 grand at any time with that ecu in there, so swapping it in would be a big no no

 

yes, youd have to switch the fuel injection from dual point/port to multiport in order for the si ecu to properly work.

 

I have actually seen this ran on a dpfi car. It was a 89' crx dx and it was one of my friends car's. You can to rev past 3 grand in fact it actually gave him about 200-300 rpm more to rev than the dx ecu did. Ne way the car ran just fine and threw no codes amazingly.
