4th gen Greddy header.....
I'm thinking of buying one and doing a 2.5inch collector swap on it then getting the resto of a 2.5inch custom made... hope this will net me some decent gains...
im not sure about the dyno numbers, but i know it makes more power than the DC..i dropped 2 1/2 tenths when i switched from my DC to my Greddy...I wonder if IM pushing 200whp?? my beat time is 13.7 @ 102 with bolt ons...hmmm..maybe ill dyno it one day..peace
im running AEM CAI, Greddy SS header, Apexi N1 exhaust , VAFC, Skunk2 Cam Gears, and a Chipped ECU...full interior..everything else is stock...peace
He was talking to 96SRV, the one who definately has 200+whp.

I hope this could unlock some hp anyone here modded a collector? Anyone else have a greddy?
The I.D. (internal diameter) of the collector is 2.0'' exactly. This is fact.
Hmm I feel guilty about Hacking my Greddy Header but I think I'm gonna make a 2.5" downpipe as well to go with my test pipe what should I do it in Stainless? But I'll have to weld in a bung for the O2 sensor right?
Well i dont know what was up with my Greddy header because i had to have a custom cat connected anyways because the header connecters were to big for my stock cat...

Hmm was it the Trust non-Carb one? Is was it the greddy? I looked at mine and the flange looks a little funky as well...

When is the SMSP header coming out damnit..thats the header to go with for all motor...also the only one other than maybeMugen id get rid of my greddy for...peace
fair enough...SMSP is really nice but I'm talking about a whole different price range....greddy is like half the price... I'm really looking for somthing better than my DC.

I just had my greddy header modded at Import Builders. They hacked off the collector and flex pipe and welded on a 2.5" pipe. I was about to cry as I watched Jerry hack the downpipe up on my BRAND NEW header.
If you eliminate the flex pipe make sure that they get the angle on the collector right cuz I had to have mine modified again by the muffler shop for it reach my cat.
As far as the gains, I don't really know how much an improvement it is over the stock greddy collector cuz I didn't put the header on til after I modified the collector, but it does pull alot better up top over my stock manifold. Im gonna redyno my car and see how much just the header w/ modded collector helped.

Jerry at Import Builders made the end of my collector so that it used a donut gasket. He told me to have the muffler shop flare the end of the pipe coming off the cat so that it goes around the donut gasket and to use a flange that wasn't welded on w/ spring loaded bolts, just like stock exhaust manifold and cats have. He said it would be fine. I followed his instructions. I noticed more vibration though coming from the exhaust since I don't have a flex pipe. My motor is in a civic though w/ a mount kit, so I have alot of vibration from the motor to begin with.

hey guys i just ordered a greddy header. I have decided to put a 2.5 collector on the end instead of installing it and deciding to do it later. I am going to go with a 2.5 hi flow cat and 2.5 piping all the way back, probably mated to an N1.
Import builders will do this service? Is this something I could have an exhaust/welding place do locally (it would save me a lot of trouble)? How much did this run you to get it done? Would you do it again?
any help appreciated, thx.
