Who makes a short shifter or adapter for a 1990 Accord?
I noticed Nuespeed makes one for a 1991-1993 but it will NOT fit 1990 for some reason, even though they are all 4th gen Honda Accord. Anyone know where I can get one for 1990 Accord LX 5-spd?
Yeah I just looked at their website, and its only $39.95! Has anyone ever tried one of these? Are they any good?

So they one you have for sale is a "real" short shifter, not an adapter? Whats the difference? WHy do they even make an adapter?

speaking of short shift adapters, does anyone with the neuspeed have trouble putting it into first? okay, i will explain...say you are sitting at a stop light, the light turns green, and at first it won't go into gear. i have to basically force it in there sometimes. i have a 91 accord and a buddy of mine has a 93 with the neuspeed adapter, and his does the same thing occasionally. any ideas?
A couple of guys on hs made them. They have the topic as a sticky if im not mistaken. I did it my self and it reduced the throw by at least 50%. Best three bucks I ever spent. And to answer your question no it doesnt affect gettin it into gear at all.
wasup fella's-yo i'm from hs and i made a short shifter for my 92- i reduced the throw by over 50%. It works great! the key is leverage. limmie see if I can find a link...

I bought one from a guy called 4bidden off honda-society. it was $128 shipped, but it makes the shift feel soooooo much better. before i got that one, i was having trouble getting into second gear, now it is gone(not the gear, the problem). i dont have his email address, but these were supposedly a pretty hot item, and i now know why.
Here ya go hs is back. http://board.hondasociety.com/showth...threadid=76368
I have a 90 accord and was having the same problem, finding a short shift adapter. i went to junk yard found a 91 and removed the shifter and mounting base plate. brought the adapter for a 91 and bolted it replacing the shifter and mounting plate out of my 90. cost $50 for the plate and shifter plus the nuespeed short shift adapter. Everything works fine.
I heard you can also take a 92-96 prelude shifter out and replace the 4th gen accord shifter with it. That should reduce the shift a lot then you can even go with prelude short throw from there to make it shorter.. I havent had a chance to try it but i want to if i get some money this summer
Putting in the prelude shifter doesnt make it as short as the diy on hs. Trust me its a 50% or more reduction for like 3 dollars!! Hey nite your from css right? I could show you mine if you wanted. Email me or im me on css.
