H23 head on a h22 block...is this gay?

Guys i can find a h23 block(sleeved) anywhere
but i have come across a couple sleeved h22a1....i have a h23 head to bolt to it...should i?

There is nothing wrong with this idea cause you're boosting so you don't need VTEC, however, realize that the compression ratio of the H22a pistons in the H22a block will go up becuase the H23 combustion chamber is smaller. around .5 points
unless you are planning on using your H23 pistons, in which case the CR will drop a little because of the smaller crank...
and your motor wil rev better.

alright so yeah im gonna prob go h22a1 block...h23 crower rods(stock size) Je 9.0:1 ..........the ONLY thing im worried about...is my moroso oil pan? Im not familiar with h22 and i dont wanna have to part with this thing will it bolt up?

Other than that you will need the H23 tensioner, timing gear and H23 block pieces off your toasted block.
Are you using JE 9:1 H23 pistons? or H22 pistons

H22a pistons with an H23 head means the CR goes up, or are they H23 pistons??

they are h23, ive never touched or owned any kind of h22 in my life. This is the first time I will only because i cant find a sleeved block.

And what's preventing you from sleeving your old block? Or getting a spare H23 block and sending it out to be sleeved? They're a dime a dozen, practically.
