what size intercooler are those using for 5th gen preludes
what s the max size or a good size to use without having to modify heavily

i wish i was turbo... im thinking about it man. not that h22 crap though, too expensive. if i went turbo its all about the single cam vtec baby.

my choice is do the h22 swap or do sohc vtec turbo. im thinking after the turbo i should bebale to keep up with the h22 4th gens. im not too big on tuning my prelude yet. i have a tuned honda crx with ls/vtec thats been chillin in my garage for awhile.

hey dave... personally if I were you i'd try to find a way to move that front plate up a little more to get more exposed area... maybe bend the bottom mount up more and figure out a way to attach the top screws.. no screws.. whatever. too bad you guys have to have them

 

the thing about the plate.... in california you are required to have a front plate... and it needs to be certain specs off the ground too. not to high not to low type thing.

 

Couple of questions for you guys...
dave'sh22a4: What are the dimensions on your IC? Did you have to modify the stock bumper much/at all to get it to fit?
rjr162: I know I've asked you this before a little while ago, but have you dyno'd it with the NX NterCooler yet? Also, how much does it lean you out when running with the IC fogged?
ex-boosted: I've got a pic of that monster on my desktop, it's what keeps me going. Hopefully be ordering my kit on the 4th of April ; still looking for a front bumper that will hold/contain that baby though. Soliciting recommendations on a 5th gen front bumper if any of you guys run across anything decent while surfing, something not too huge but similarly flared out like boosted's (which is too much for me 'cause I'm currently still kit-less & on stock rims ), that will do the job and not make me look too ricey.

 

yeah i wish i can just get rid of that license plate but don't wanna get pulled over by a cop...plus i wanted to hide my intercooler as much as i can w/o painting it flat black...i know that intercooler is kindda small but i like it kindda...didn't have to cut n/e thing..other then relocate my p/s cooler so i can mount my oil cooler behind my intercoooler... and my intercooler is starion ic with modified endtank ... i have some pictures if n/e one wants to see

 

Hey dude, I seriously doubt that any of us non-boosted peeps are going to criticize the size of your IC, **** at least you got one. I just wanted to know the dimensions, but I can look it up now that I know where you got it from.
Hell yeah, post on; not like I'm going anywhere or have anything else to do (I'm at work ).
