My ITR has suddenly started making a wierd sound/vibration when I turn a tight corner - usually when going slow and so far it seems only when turning right.

I'm thinking I could have a damaged CV? It only has 43000kms on the clock (1.6km to the mile) so hopefully everything is covered under warranty still.

 

lift up the car and see if you tore the CV boot.

also, what kind of noise is it making?

 

This may sounds dumb, but is your exhaust rubbing? When I take tight turns, my exhaust rubs a little and sends a deep vibration through the car.

 

Hard to describe really but it seems to be coming from the front-right area of the wheel and only started occuring last Thursday.

Jansen - you were in the car, how would you describe it?

 

Took it to the dealer today who said it was the gearbox - they will strip it down tomorrow and see what is wrong. Anybody else here have gearbox issues? I know one guy who has had his replaced twice already.
