Found this while browsing a d-series board.....It's a compression calculator like the one on C-speed but for d-series engine.

rebuilt d16z6 longblock
d16a1 pistons
d16y8 head gasket

whats up with that
my motor is also bored .050

You prolly didn't use the correct piston-deck clearance for your pistons. Piston-Deck clearance is the height that the piston sits below the top of the sleeve The 88-89 teg pistons are the same as the ZC. With 88-89 pistons you should use the .040(OEM ZC) for piston-deck clearance.

This calculator doesn't have the 86-87 'teg pistons in there - PG6B is the code for them. Anyways the specs for those are slightly different than the 88-89 pistons. The piston dome displacement is 1.5cc with a .00 piston-deck(flush) clearance.

im thinking about using only one or 2 layers of the y8, how thick are the layers?
