which Japanese make car is actually made in Japan?
I know Toyota Corollas are made in Fremont, CA, I believe the camrys and tacomas - maybe in Kentucky, the acura tl also is made here, honda civics accords and preludes are only 30% made in Japan (maye that 30% is the engine and/or transmission), and I don't know much about the rest (nissan, suzuki, subaru, etc.). I'm pretty sure the Type R is 100 % Jap made- it's on the windshield sticker. I'm thinking of getting a daily driver.

The Odyssey is made in Canada, and I think the MDX is, too. The Odyssey will be made in Alabama when the new plant there opens soon.
However, these are final assembly sites. Some components may be made in countries other than the assembly plant. So some cars made in Japan have U.S. content, and some cars made in the U.S. have content from Japan.

Did your sticker say 95% Japan or 100% Japan for your ITR? I'm pretty sure mine said 95% Japan. Any idea what the 5% is? I know preludes say 100% Japan
I think the 5% would be the speakers! LOL! When i replaced those cheesy factory speakers i noticed that they said made in New Mexico on the back!

I don't know. I know a lot of cars made abroad tend to use tires made in the United States. And I know a lot of cars made all over the world tend to use sound system electronics made in Japan.
My window sticker reads the following...
U.S./Canadian parts content: 5%
Major source of foreign parts content: Japan 95%
Country of origin:
Engine - Japan
Transmission - Japan

The 5% is for the "coded key" reader. It is made by AC-Delco.

99.9% of all new cars sold in the US have OBD II. OBD II was developed by General Motors and selected by the U.S. goverment to be used nationally (federal mandate). AFAIK, this system is made in the U.S. It may not total 1% of your car, but if your car is a 1996 or newer, its got it.

I will never buy a car made in Canada or America.
They tend to rust faster and the quality assurance is not
as good as Japan.
I really like Civic but the quality is just can't compare to
a Japanese made civic.
That's why I am looking forward to see the British made
