All day long i was pulling 14.0's , 13.9's at 104-105 mph. I had ZERO traction through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at times. I went to West Hampton track on Long Island by me. I do have Esta Supra tires so that is not helping but the traction problems i had were pissing me off. my best run of the day was 13.852@105.35, but with that trap i was hopin for low 13s, im hoping with slicks i could pull a lot more down low and shoot that into a 12.9-13.0. Am i crazy thinking this i just think my traps were way too high for my ET's but that is all becuase of NO traction period. one run i had was 14.2@104.86 while racing an all motor RSX-S that ran a 13.7@102.74.
That thing was a shock to me, that run was the best of the day for him. But with full intake, japanese header and exhuast, and type R cams with a hondata flashed ecu for the R cams, He was pulling 13.8-14.0 all day long.
You guys think with slicks i could pull low low 13's? Traction was terrible today and i never had one trap lower than 103.5 but i had plent of upper 6's in 330 ft. My track decided to do away with the 60ft time for some reason so im not sure of those.
Let me know what you think my best few go as follows, the second one is a shock becuase i missed 5th right before going through the 1/4 (I need to adjust gearing to not need to shift to 5th in the 1/4) and rolled through and still was my second best time of the day.

Let me know what you think, is traction my problem you think on gettin into lower 13's at 10 pounds with my injectors and everything else i had done i was hoping for a 13.6, i didnt get it but i feel its in easy reach, do you?

 

work the clutch alittle more to get off the line harder. Or just get some drag radials/slicks...

 

Yea this was the first time i was at the track and i realized its a lot different than the street and even a lot different from before the turbo. Just cant floor it anymore, lol, my times were progressing so next time ill work the clutch better and im prob. pickin up some drag radials so i can use them in the street too. later

 

Sounds like my first time at the track with a turbo. One run was a 16.0@100...once I trapped a 14.5 at 103 I know I was good for 13's. Last run was 13.7@104, 2.2 60ft.

Launching on shitty street tires sucks at the track.

 

I thought my 15.4@98 was bad. 2.8 60ft.

Street tires + T-25 = NO traction off the line

 

how much boost you running and whats the specs on your turbo?

 

i was runnin at 10 PSI and i have the turbo that came with the drag III kit, t3/t4 which reaches full boost by 4,000 rpms. To me t3/t4 + $80 Esta Supra tires=no traction until 1/8 mile, i really dont know much more about the specs but it is the one from Ben and its never been messed with
