I just finished rebuilding my ZC. Here s the problem , i go to start the engine and when its starts it takes a few seconds b4 it runs right. It idles pretty good but when go to give some gas it will bog out , but give it some gas slowly and its perfect. you can pump the gas all you want no problem,sometimes. But when it is running good after I get the rpms up above say 1700-2000 its alright but will start to bog out. Like today I wanted to move it out of the garage (for the first time since november) it was idling perfect went to rev it up to move it and it just bogged and almost died. Also after its been running,when I shut the car off and try to started it again it barely idles. Takes a few b4 Idling smooth. If anyone has any ideas it would be a big help. Thanks

PS ... there is no codes either. its really starting drive me crazy, Can't even take it for a drive do to this and the 3 feet of snow.

 

resurface the flywheel?

i just did my swap a b18a1 into a 89 dx ... idles good and revs smooth but doesnt seem to go high and wont hit rev limit at all.... and seems very slow so maybe our problems are on the same page

 

make sure your vaccum lines are correct.

 

i suggested resufacing the flywheel because you should everytime you get a chance . it gathers crap on it and the flywheel has alot to do with how fast or slow you can rev up the motor .. for example .. lighted flywheel .. you get a lightened flywheel and you will be able to rev up rpms faster. so if you have had the flywheel awhile and never resurfaced it that may be a problem.
