My best in town mileage is when I keep the cruising speed at under 2k revs.
I got to add this also. keeping a steady foot on the gas will help.

gas mileage will drop w/ age/high mileage of engine...do you have stock whl's or at least the same size as the stock whl's were? that can also play a role.

My brother in law has a CRX HF 1990 and it runs on the highway 46mpg with 235000 miles on it. It depends on how well you take care of the engine, that CRX has more love that his wife.

i get 30mpg, thats with about half highway and half city miles. recently ive been getting 33mpg but ive also been doing a whole lot more hwy driving.
