One black R had a Honda-Tech.com sticker also.
BTW did soemthing break on it? When i left i saw it up on jack stands

 

That would have been me...I was swapping rotors out and back to some street pads...long 7 hour drive home last night There were quite a few itr's out there...still to out of it to remember everyone that was there.

who else had like 35 yellow/black bees on their front ends? I stopped counting at 20 and that didnt even include the windshield and mirrors, hahaha

 

I'll post my pics too once I get them back. Had a great time and it was great seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones. I have to say we have such a good group out here. Everyone pitched in to help Austin change his stuff after the session and helped me change stuff in the morning.

 

Fugg, how could I have forgotten Raymund? That guy is hella' fast!

 

I was bug killing, homicical maniac yesterday. The best one was I was following a celica around the track (sorry, can't remember his name, but great guy and driver) and this big bug came spinning off his car on the back straight. It hit my windshield and made such a splat I could hear it over the engine noise and with my helmet on. All I have to say is thank God for car bras.

Did any of you open up the hood to check oil or fluids? I was almost home to San Jose when I filled up at Chevron only to discover some bugs melted onto the oil cap and one on the engine block itself.

Maybe one of us should get a license plate BUG KLLR. Anyway, it was nice to meet all of you guys out there.

I remember being behind mike and yoshi for a bit. (well atleast before we got into the straights) hahaha(it sucks having 3times LESS the amount of HP, 2 times worse susp, and stock CX brakes with pepboys pads)hahaha

It was a funnnn day.

After that incident i can understand why S2k's werent allowed. Imagine an S2k without a roll bar messing up in turn 9.

Seriously, Thankfully my car is sooooooo sllllooowwwwwwwww i didnt have to worry about that stuff too much, coming down the front straight into turn one i only had to lift at the second to last cone for a second or 2 then get back on the throttle hahaha. I think if i had R compounds i wouldnt even have to lift

I learned that the car's limits and track's limits were much higher than my own. I just couldn't make myself go full bore through 2 and 8/9. I had to drive the car (and myself) home in one piece.

 

be thankful that your car didn't Decellerate going through turn 2.

last time i was there (when my car was still stock), I almost topped out 4th gear towards the end of the front straight. With the 4.9FD, I was shiffting in to 5th just as I passed pit entry

yshi - who had difficulty deciding whether to go thru T8&9 in 4th or 5th

 

Actually, I've heard good praise about the S2's roll-over protection. NASA and SpeedVenture both allow S2's on the track w/ just the stock twin hoops.

It's like a leap of faith. Once you go full charge once it becomes a piece of cake. You'll get it next time. It took me 3 events to muster enough courage and commit to turn 2 and 8/9 at 100%
