Like the topic says, it is too quiet for my taste. Okay okay, granted, I'm only boosting as low as I can do it "4.5 PSI" until I get my car tuned. Right now it's on a basemap for my Hondata. So I'm driving tame too but.. still, it's really quiet.

Is there something I can adjust on my Blitz universal DD BOV to make it louder?

 

fabricate some sort of "horn" on the outlet? hehe...thats my only idea

 

just get one of those Turbo XS bovs...there hella loud

 

Adjust the screw looser, which produces a louder sound from the bov. When i ran the blitz it didnt get louder till around 15lbs.

 

Which screw.

The screw on top of the BOV? I don't wanna loosen the wrong screw. And have the thing fall apart on me.

I know, I know.. I should get to know my turbo more.

Just let me know which screw.

you can:
-put the horn outlet from an older Blitz BOV on the new one
-remove the stainless steel screen from the outlet
-and the only screw you can adjust is on the top of the BOV.

 

1. There's a horn for it?

2. Screen is already off.

3. That' the screw I though, just wanted to make sure, I will loosen it all teh way tomarrow.

 

be patient and wait til you can boost more..

 

dont be a ricer, and leave it alone

 

if you loosen it all they way, it will stay open even during boost...loosen it only enough to where the piston stays closed during idle, otherwise you will have mucho problemos...
blitz's are quiet anyway, I would venture to say they are "pleasant" if you want the shriek, go with something else....

 

It's just that I have heard Blitz BOV's before and they were much louder than mine. I was just curious as to why maybe mine was so quiet.

 

according to your sig your bov is quiet because you r not boosting, lol. soryy i have no experience with the blitz i just couldnt resist posting that.

 

well - you're right. you've got to be boosting more than 5 or 6psi for it to sound right. It's sounding like a muffled fart isn't it? boost up around 7+ and it will release the air faster and louder.

 

That makes sense, I will most likely get my car tuned this Wensday and will be boosting around 7 psi. So I guess I'll wait till I get it tuned to see what it sounds like.

Like now it sounds like a fluttering whoosh.

 

i have the same bov and mine is loud iam running 10 psi on a b16 and my screw is allmost all the way out.

 

Give it some more fuel and turn up the boost. That'll make it louder. eheh..

 

Can't really expect it to be loud at only 4.5lbs, not enough pressure to generate that kinda loudness, wait till you turn up da booost.

 

I got it tuned last week, and ... after I got it tuned, and I drove it around.. the BOV was much louder.. even at only 5psi. It blows off much more now!

I like it, not too loud, but loud enough to make people look around when I blow off on them when driving by.

These BOV's are by default "not as loud", at 10-psi and below.

MaxRev's BOV makes a nice sort of replica sounding BOV Blitz DD.

However MaxRev's is nice and loud even at my stock psi .45-BAR

Isnt hks "THE" loudest bov right now? I think they sound sooooooooooo scary. They give off that loud ping noise. It will turn some heads

 

I was told that the Turbo XS or the Turbo Smart BOV's are the loudest.

Both in which are over 100 Decibels easy. I heard that on e of those BOV's they have are around 110 Decibels.
