jsut got the VAFC, and now i have a few questions...
what does "PRS" mean, and what does it do. and what does "COR" mean and what does it do? around where should they be at when idle (and warmed up) after its tuned. i have an AEM CAI, and a thermal axle back exhaust. thanks
also, on the box...it shows different screens and some of them dont show on my VAFC. like one of them is 2 guages one says rev and one says VTo. and the the other one says cor, prs, VTi. and those dont show on mie. do i have to press an arrow to see them? TIA
Have you tried reading the Manual? It will say something about them in there..

.You can switch the gauges you want to see by using the arrows and highlight the number and the word. 1 and 2 or for the main two gauges you see. and push next for dif views. I mainly use the monitor option #4 and use thr.(throttle) and the rev for the gauges. then use next when ever I just feel like lookin at a cool graph display or all the others at the same time(intake pressure,VTo,VTi,correction(still dunno what this is),rev, thr)
OK prs is your intake pressure, COR is the amount of fuel correction that the VAFC ois telling the computer to do. If you havent touched your settings it probbebly says +or-o. All of these settings will chang according to the idle speed of your engine hence when it worms up your idle is gouing to do down so the COR (fuel correction if you have changed the setting) and the Prs Intake Pressure) Are going to change accordingly. It all depends on how you play with the settings. Do what everyone says and dont change the settings without going to a dyno, but I've found that if you change the settings + or - 5% it wont hert much, but if you have no idea whats going on dont mess with it because you can screw up alot of ****. I found if you just play around with it you will figure out how to use it. Also read the manuel that comes with it it helps alot. There is to much stuf to describe that comes in the features so just read up in the manuel and try to find something some whwere else on the internet. Hope that helped

Why don't you read the manual? "COR" as you so state it is the correction or in lehman's terms what the V-AFC is doing to your MAP sensor. Read the manual and come back later.

Hey guys I just got mine from a friend today, and need to know about hooking it up. Does anybody know if you need to hook up the VSM wire on a JDM H22a from 94 with obd1. And about not knowing what it says cuz its in jap. Check the apexi website, you can get all the instructions and manuals from the site. It just doesnt say anything about the vsm wire for me. peace
can someone just give a simple answer on how to view different charts and guages on the VAFC? i need detailed instructions, like step by step. (im a little slow lol
) i am just scared tat i might change the settings. and i need to know if at idle the cor is at 1%, is that normal for a tuned VAFC. i have AEM CAI, thermal axle-back.

okay i used the site, and its confusing. i didnt do any of the work myself, this guy did all of it for me and i dont understand the manual on the site. now my questions are.
1. can someone give me step by step instructions on how to make the charts and guages show different things?
2. is it normal for a tuned VAFC to have a 1% correction after its tuned (when idle)
3. i hear there is a memory chip built into the VAFC, if my stteings are change, reset, or messed up, what do i do to put them back in to the tuned settings?
please dont flame me, i am new to the import scene and just want to learn.

ok yes it is normal for the cor to be at 1% and keep changing while you accerate. It is shoing you what correction in % the VAFC is doing to your map sensor. If you dont change the settings on the VAFC then you dont have anything to worry about. They wont change unless you do it. If you are going to change them you will know. To change what you show on the gauges just hit the previous button a few times (dont worry about doing it too much because you cant it will just stop) and a Screen that says (know dont quote me I'm doing this blind) Monitor, Setting and two or three other things, the one you want is monitor. Highlight the monitor using the arrows and hit next and a screen will show I think 6-8 different thins that will show on your gauges. Once you get past the highligghting of the monitor part you cant change any settings so just do what I did and experiment. To get back to the gauges just keep hitting the previous button and you will stop there. Wish I could help more but I dont have time.
thanks you helped me a lot. now the only question i have is, i heard there was a memory card built ito the VAFC, so if i meesed up, how do i get the tuned settings that i have now back? like i want to expiriment but its already tuned and i dont wannt mess it up. so lets say i accidentaly screw it up somehow, how do i get the tuned settings back. thanks a lot
Sorry but I cant help you there, I have never heard of that but I'm not sure if it doesnt exist. If it does and you find out tell me because I could use it. The only memory function it has is to put the settings back to 0 on everything.
