Default GSR vs. GSR dyno

Does anyone have a 92-93 GSR dyno vs. a 94-96 GSR dyno I could compare? According to MSN, they are about the same weight, however the G3 has +10 HP and the G2 has a transmission that is shorter than the ITR.

The B17 is more like a B16 as far as power characteristics are concerned. I have a guy at my shop who has a 93 GSR and he makes about 170 whp, while the B16 can pretty much do the same thing with low tourque numbers.

if the b17 is anything like the b16a, the power curve should be a little peaky compared to the relatively linear pull of a b18c

yeah, i rode in my friend's 1.8 GSR today and it definetly feels like it lags up high, where mine pulls hard up there. I like the sound of the secondaries though

i dont have dyno sheets, but a while back my cousin and i both dynoed our cars, his was a 97 gsr stock, and i gotta 92 gsr stock, both stock back then.

1997 gsr, 39k miles made 146 hp. 121trq
1992 gsr, 82k miles made 141hp. 118trq

that .1 liter helps a lot. also mileage on the car.

thats exactly what my friend has, a 97 GSR, and I have a 92 GSR. Thanks for the numbers man. I know they aren't going to be the exact same as me and my friend's, but at least I have something to go off of.

Do you think my car will be stronger than his if I replaced my block with a b18c block? I was thinking so because I get sort of like a weak ITR setup with the b17 head.

it is probably going to be the same numbers, but if u want to make more power than him, go with the LS block with minor mods.

I'd do LS, but I dont want to mess with reliability issues. Also, how did your car dyno more torque than the factory claims at the flywheel? Or is that not how torque works? Enlighten me please.

it was 117.8 so i just rounded off to 118 that is why its like 1 over. and from what the guy who dynoed it told me, my car is in great shape and also i got a 93 gsr intake cam because there was something wrong with mine.

i thought torque would be less that 117 (that honda claims) because honda claims 160 bhp but dynos show only about 140 whp. Either way, . And the 93 GSR intake cam shouldn't matter, should it? Unless its a 94 GSR intake cam.

well right now if i dynoed my car, i gurantee i would get nothing over 130hp and like 110 trq. its leaking oil from th exhaust cam seal or somewhere around there by the vtec solenoid. and i dont know what else is wrong, but it feeels waaaayyyyy slower than before.

don't get ls bottom end if you don't want your car to blow up.

mine's leaking oil from there too, but i didn't think it would affect the performance that much...
