Default The New Resonators To Be Used On The New SMSP Cat Back Exhaust

This one will be located in the tunnel. This piece weighs approx 5 lbs.

This one will be located along side the gas tank as in the stock system. This piece weighs approx 3 lbs.

Looks good. I'm anxious to see how the new system looks and performs.

For those of us not familiar with your old resonators, do you have any comparison pics? Also you mentioned weight - how much of a weight difference is there.

Also, out of curiousity why the design change. Your old system appeared to perform quite well, is the new system going to be better?

I used Magnaflow resonators, usually a 22" long one, like in the picture.

That resonator weighs 10-12 lbs

The new system will be bolt on. The old 2-1/2" system supported 230+ whp. I expect at least the same out of this. But I want to build the lightest and quietest system with out compromising performance. We should know shortly.

Are you still going to be using the same muffler?

I know the Manaflow resonators were aluminized.

Those new resonators look like they're stainless. Are they?

Being bolt-on open more possibilities for purchasing. More user friendly and people don't have to nescessarily got to the shop for welding and installing.

Good move!

How soon do you expect to offer the bolt on kit? And, will the sounds be nice and quiet like your previous model?

Thanks,

Mike

??

Why on earth would you want to do that?

Have you damaged your Twinloop?
I believe that he is looking for something that bolts up to Si twin loop, even though i told him it won't work.

I notice that the shape of those resonators looks a little different; flat on one side and tapered on the other. Is that a better design for flow effeciency? Or is it that all resonators are that shape and I never noticed it

If you care about what your exhaust looks like, the SMSP isn't for you.

While it is a high quality system, it maintains a stealthy, stock-like appearance.

Which, in addition to its quietness, is exactly why I want one.
