is there any defference between a GSR 96 ECU and a 94 ECU?

94gsr and 96 gsr ECUs are different due to 94-95 are OBD1 and 96+ are OBD 2

Type R vs GSR, the type R has a higher redline and more fuel maps then the gsr, but wont open the second stage on the intake manifold.
