Modifying Stock Sway Bars
I have been looking at modifying my lude in cheap ways, and I thought about this: instead of shelling out $200+ for a good set of sway bars to improve my handling, I was considering pulling my rear sway bar, welding more material on it to make it thicker, and then grinding/adding to make the handling more neutral. Any ideas or comments before I start?
just get a ST rear swaybar, you don't need a front one.. 125$ from http://www.nopionline.com

I have all the time and aggrevation in the world! But....
You have a point there...should of thought about that. I'll have to look into that more.
The sway bar is spring steel. You can't weld it without changing it's elastic properties. Just get an ST bar.
so you guys are saying with just the rear sway, it will be better than just getting the set? or is that becuase if you only get the rear than you'll get more oversteer and that prolly what you want on an FWD right?

I know, back from the dead, but...
Who has only the rear swaybar? Is the oversteer very strong, or does it give a nice neutral feel? How does it compare w/ the full set of swaybars?
