brake light stays on..
when i park my car outside overnight, and then leave in the morning for school, the brake like stays on until the car is fully warmed up. but when i park my car in the garage overnight, this doesnt happen.
first check the fluid level in the master cylinder. then see if the parking brake switch contacts are sticking.
the fluid level is normal. whats the parking brake switch?
today- when i started to drive my car (around 10am), it was warm outside, this problem didnt happen. im guessing it only happens during cold mornings.
add fluid all the way to the top of the resivoir. the fluid gets to the level where when it is warm it expands the fluid turning out the light. Sounds stupid but i see it all the time. this is a typical complaint. If it is infact not the fluid level, get a new cap for the master cylinder.
I had the same problem (2000 GSR). Dealer said they have problems with the caps reading a faulty level so the light stays on. They just added a little fluid and its OK now.
