Sup everyone one.I bought this head from Dual Cams (thanks bro) and it seems like it has a pretty good history belong to jerry built and pushing out 242whp with a b20 block.Has port work done by port flow and allaniz and is supposed to be the Import builders design.Here are the specs and pics.Let me know what you think.It came in box with packing peanuts inside of another box,it was wrapped really well but the only thing i wish he did was wrap it in a bag cause now i have packing nuts in every little whole on the head .

I am working on mine right now. I was wandering if places like Portflow or Alaniz cut off the ends of the valve guides, now I know!

Are you refering to that white stuff?I touched it and it seems to be nothing.I checked all the ports and rubbed it to see what it was and when i check my fingers its nothing.

where did alaniz stamp your head?? ima check over mine to see if they stamped it

 

I put my head in the box again but i beleive its on the exhaust side near the vtec solenoid.I'll check again later.

Don't worry, this head is the real deal. They made 242 to the wheels with pump gas, I don't care what the head looks like, if you can make that kind of power with an all motor setup you know the head is worth whatever you paid for it.

 

Thats a sweet head dude . F#cK any negative comments. I would pull the valves and clean the all the ports with somekind of acetone or alcohol. Get the peanuts out too. Damn that thing is nice. Your gonna make some good numbers with that thing.

 

Thanks you guys.Im not to worried about the comments there just opinions and thats why i posted this to see what people thought about it.I had import builders exospeed and camp1320 vouch and everyone knows those names on HT.Im still working on the bottom end and choosing the right cams.My goals this year are to hit mid low 12's and whatever HP it takes to do that with.

Ignore the negative comments. If Tom worked his magic on that head I'll guarentee there's not a "rough" spot on it anywhere.

 

Personally I would disassemble it and have it jet washed...I'm a clean freak though.

Yea everything might be coming apart anyways cause i might run toda c's and of course i will need the toda valvesprings,so if anyone is interested in the jun valve springs i have now shoot me a PM.
