Just to begin, I have found the old threads with the informaton about earthing systems... and there seems to be 2 different ideas of how to do it.
1) First method:
1. Add grounds to:
- Alternator
- VTEC Solenoid
- Tranny
- Head
- Intake Manifold
- Thermostat Housing
2. Tie all into single grounding point of choice - either neg battery terminal or common chassis ground (up to debate). The point is tying them into a single point.
3. REMOVE
- Stock valve cover ground
- Stock tranny ground?
2) second method
-Firewall to intake manifold
-intake manifold to head
-head to transmission
-head to negative battery terminal
-neg. battery terminal to chassis
-factory grounds left in place
Which do you all prefer? Daisy-chaining them all together, or running separate gound wires for each point to a common ground? Remove or keep factory grounds?

i made mine a "daisy chain", from frame, head, intake manifold, thermostat housing, tranny, vtec solenoid, neg terminal, then back to frame......to tell you the truth I didnt notice any difference. the only reason that i put it on my car was to try to get some misfire out of idle and it didnt work. but i took my time making the "kit" from monster cable 8 ga and it looks cool..............
I'll second the 'no difference' opinion. I experimented by making my own, too. The stock system was clean and tight, so I really didn't expect to notice any difference.
As for your question... Do what you want, but do not get rid of the stock connections. Especially the battery negative to the trans connection.
