how in the hell do you get the ball joint to stop spinning when tryin to put the castle nut back on it???? damn thing just sits there and spins. i have a jack under the lca, had a friend stand on the hub while i put a c-clamp on the top of the joint and the bottom of the lca, so that it would be pressed all the way together but this sumbich wont stop spinning. anyone got any pointers?????

 

There are some things that the require an impact wrench, this is one of them!

 

You can put a jack under the control arm, and jack the spindle up some. That will put the ball joint under a load and keep it from spinning.
