Default Redline MT90 ok for `93 Accord?

I have some Redline MT90 left after filling the gearbox of another car. I'm about to do a clutch replacement on my `93 Accord LX and was wondering if this stuff is ok for use in the transaxle. I know it's a completely different car, but I used this stuff in my `92 Miata and it smoothed out shifting quite a bit. I did a search and didn't come up with anything, just threads saying "don't use gear oil." My Haynes as no ratings for trans fluid and there was no owner's manual that came along with the car.

Just want to know if I can use the stuff in my Accord or if I should buy some other fluid. Thanks!

honda trannies tend to not like thicker fluids, dunno why. I imagine if you use it, it will just feel not as smooth going into gears. You'd want to use redline MTL if you are gonna use their product... it's not as thick.

I have heard many stories of redline oil actually causing wear on Honda trannies.

Ok. Well, I'd have to order the stuff and it won't be here by later this week when I plan on taking the car apart to do the clutch. What grade and weight of trans oil is recommended? I have no idea what is in the transaxle right now, but I'm sure it's old and nasty.

Thanks again for the input. I definitely don't want to put that stuff in now.
