got ticket for going 84 in 65 zone
Shiet, cop was standing in the median with a radar gun pointing straight when he clocked me. His cruiser was parked in the grass...hard to spot. Hell I thot his car broke down and needed a lift until I saw his uniform up close and right before I passed him by. Citation for $187. What's the diff bet a citation and a speeding ticket? He said I can go to traffic school and it wont go in my insuarance. Time to get a radar I guess. No way I could've seen him coming from before the hilly hump. No one was on the road except for me either. I turned on my blinkers and hazard when he got into his car and followed me before he flashed me. I guess he didnt care I was being a good stop. 5 minutes later, he pulled some other guy following me. Think I can talk down the fine at least since it's my first offense? Oh yah, it was in Kingman arizona at 6:30AM.
Id just pay a traffic lawyer to take care of it just for the hell of it. Usually its $70-80 and its guaranteed or your money back. its worth a try, it worked for me when i got clocked with radar. Other than that your SOL.
Just take the defensive driving unless you want to take the ticket to court. It's like ~60$ processing fee plus however much for the class ~40 online$.
I paid $200 for a deferral/dropping of a 30mph speeding ticket, worked like a charm, got it completely dropped even though I was completely guilty. I will use a traffic lawyer for EVERY ticket I get in the future. It was unbelievable how many tix the judge was dismissing for people that had traffic lawyers defending them. Kinda shady handing $200 cash out to the sleazy lawyer afterwards, but hey, the ends justify the means...
my friend got clocked at 82 on 65 zone in virginia... ge got a $180 ticket, and on top of that he got 4pts for reckless driving ... talk about luck, man he was pissed, and we were coming home from daytona ...

Go to court and talk it over with the judge (with a lawyer would be helpful). I got out of a speeding ticket once but the deal was I had to go to traffic school. It's HELLA boring and stupid (you get to hear some crazy stories and woner why you're in the same place as these people), but depending on the deal the judge gives you, it could be wiped off your record.
I got a ticket for going 98 (9000rpm in 3rd owned my right foot
) in a 65. Needless to say, I ended up getting the ticket dropped. HeHe
. But I'd just get a lawyer if I were you.

Why don't you just not speed, that would solve it all and you wouldn't have all of these problems. I don't mean to be rude, but just don't break the law.

You're probably jealous that your pos domestic cant even get near 85mph. anyways, cops have pulled me over for all kinds of stupid **** including 70 in a 65 and "almost stopping too fast." They see a car with a spoiler and pull it over...its really unfair. I used to drive a beater volvo wagon and i was never pulled over. Since i have owned my GSR i have all kinds of problems.

AZ is pretty lax about tickets and whatnot. Most of its generating revenue and they admit it - some tickets are written as just citations and you pay the fine (like a traffic ticket) and you dont have to deal with points and insurance. However check with the clerk of the court and/or a traffic lawyer before you pay up on it. I have an uncle who lives in Az, and got a 'citation' (i think it was worded something like abuse of resources) for doing 80-90 on the freeway across town in Phx. He paid his "parking ticket" fine and that was it.
Man, you're a rookie ... I got one for 86 in a 45.
(he,he,he just kidding about you being a rook ... you've got to have a sense of humor when it comes to traffic violations, and the consequences
... I mean after all, we are the ones at fault. If you speed and get away with it, great! But when you get caught, there's no reason to squirm in your seat about it, just pay up ... because we know we're wrong before we ever get up to speed. Boy am I glad they've never gotten me for triple digits ... at least not yet!)
I really did get that ticket ... In fact, I am on probation right now for two seperate speeding tickets. I don't know if they offer this where you are, but I always try to get the judge to kindly give me defered adjudication. That's where you pay court cost and a fine, serve a probationary period (during which you aren't allowed to get anymore moving violations), and get off with a clean record. If you get another ticket during the probation period, then the deal is off, and you get to have two tickets on your record.
I think it's a good deal, because we (the court system and I) both get what we want. They get revenue and I get off with a clean driving record.
If I sound like an incorrigible speeder ... that's probably because I am, kinda
But hey, I'm am trying to curtail it some.
You can get a ticket lawyer or try to fight it, but in my experience defered adjudication is the way to go.

i'd say try to fight it, more than likely, the cop won't show.....
One night coming home from my girls house after getting some, i was doing 115 in a 55 when a cop pulled me over. that's twice the speed limit, and 60 over. He said it was a class A mistameaner, and i needed to show up to court with a parent and lawer. My court date is on the 15 of april. I think i'll get out of it with this great attorney. At one point i was thinking of hiring two attorney's just for the F**K of it. We'll see how it goes. This is one of the biggest problems that i've found with my honda, just can't keep it under 100

Well, I've been driving 12 years without getting cited. I am not saying I drive like a old lady but I dont drive reckless. On a straight open road with no one on it, except you and some little hills while running late at 6:30am, it's pretty tempting to speed...especialyl when you are in a gsr. I'm going to plead with the judge, do a online traffic school if he allows it. Cop said it wont be on my insurance if I go to traffic school. Everyone speeds, it's a matter of how much and under what conditions. Normally I pass highway cops 10mph over and they never stop me. Even they understand that at 3am in the morning and some guy is going 10 over...is it really worth it to pull him over? Thanks for all the input....time to get a law degree. You know what else that pisses me off, lawyers always get breaks in any court! off note, whenever we have a hearing, everyone waits their turn except the guy with "counsel" who gets to go before the hearing officer first. Those greaseballs.
It's true, I get cops trailing me while I am following other ppl b/c I have altezzas and a red badge in the back (ok ok ok, no more topics on altezzas, it was on it b4 i bought it and they look nice so i left it...everything else is stock.)
