H&R Sport Springs handling characteristics (did search)
Hi!
When I bought my ITR a couple of months ago it came with H&R Sport Springs (lowered 30 mm) ( http://www.kvien.no/integra/html/bilder.htm ). The previous owner said that the springs where a bit softer than stock, but he didn't notice much difference in handling. I personally think the springs are a bit too soft (nose dive, body roll etc), so i'm thinking about installing the stock springs again. So what I wonder is are there any significant differences in handling characteristics between the stock and the H&R springs? Which is better concerning handling? Is it worth the the labor putting the stock springs back on?

Well it is weird why the H&R Sports are softer then stock when thier specs are pretty close to Spoon Sport springs (6.5k fronts and 5.5k rears). Unless you got regular H&R Sport springs for regular integras and not the ones designed for the Type R. The regular H&R Sport Springs are alittle bit stiffer (10%) then stock and is pretty hard to feel the differance. Where as the ones designed for the Type R are like 45% stiffer then stock. It is not worth putting back the stock springs. I would just say get some Koni yellow shocks instead and you should do just fine.
I don't know if my H&R springs are softer or stiffer than stock because I've never driven the car with stock springs, but I definitively think they could be stiffer. What are the specs for the stock springs?
H&R Sports are slightly stiffer than stock. They are progressive front and rear, maybe that makes them feel softer to some.

Only the fronts are.
Did some further checkup about the H&R springs. It turns out that in Europe there's only one type of H&R springs for the ITR. Not two (race and sport) like in the US. Euro ITR H&R springs are 10-15% stiffer than stock, even if they feel softer. More comfort and better handling in other words.

ITR specific H&R sports are 360f/320r. I liked mine a lot, until I replaced them with 450f/500r Ground controls.
and the Hnr Race were F:450 R:350

Those are non-ITR H&R sport rates. I personally think mine are too soft for the amount they drop, I will be switching to Ground Controls at some point w/ probably 350F/400R rates.
I have the same springs and I believe I started a thread about this before, but you should like them. I have them and they feel way stiffer than stock in my opinion. I drove my buddies stock ITR and then mine and I feel much more confident in turns with my car. That was an intelligent upgrade from who ever put them on. IMHO
My H&R sports on my R has less body roll than my friends with an Eibach prokit and Tokico Illuminas according to him
. I don't know if they're great springs, but I know I like them better than stock.

I've got H&R sports, and they are hella stiffer than stock. They look great too (regarding the drop), however they seem a tad (and i do mean minimal) bouncy, but thats b/c i'm using stock shocks.
