Can I pass visual and emissions with JDM '99 ITR motor? What if I put USDM Si intake manifold, throttle body, thicker headgasket, and USDM OEM ITR header? I think you guys would know the best. Please help me. Thanks

Why would you need to replace the header or intake manifold. If it looks like a stock motor and the emissions are clean what would be the issue.
I don't live in Cali so excuse my ignorance adn help enlighten me.

well, considering that a usual inspection means that they plug into the OBD system, I would be concerned that the equipment won't read correctly... You could swap in a USDM ECU, but I'm not sure if the OBD II systems will function correctly w/ that motor. I would try to avoid an emissions inspection if at all possible, perhaps you could get a low mileage exception? (they have them in PA, not sure about Cali...)
how/where do they plug into the ECU anyway? Do they disconnect the harnesses going into the ECU and connect directly to it... or they have their own "ECU" to connect to the harnesses to the car?
